Animafest Zagreb announces seven feature films in competition
The World Animation Film Festival - Animafest Zagreb 2022 revealed the official election in the Grand Competition - Feature Films category. This year's lineup features a series of seven layered and imaginative artwork titles, showcasing unforgettable stories and technical and artistic diversity.

1970, Tomasz Wolski (Kijora Film / Poland / 2021) - Using historical telephone recordings brought back to life with stop-motion animation, Wolski's documentary unfolds as striking workers in Communist Poland protest against rising prices , while tensions in the halls of power increase and violent repression grows with the intensification of the revolt. Belle, Mamoru Hosoda (Studio Chizu / Japan / 2021) - For years, shy high school student Suzu has been just a shadow of herself. But when she enters "U", a huge virtual world, she takes refuge in the online character of Belle, a beloved singer around the world.
