"Animation is the future" at the HollyShorts Film Festival

Qualification for the Oscar Holly Shorts Film Festival is proving that animation is the future when it comes to entertainment. The 17th edition, which will take place from 23 September to 1 October at TCL Chinese 6 Theaters, has unveiled its selection of animated shorts, including the world premiere of basketball superstar Shaquille O'Neal. Head Noise.

Headnoise, produced and co-written by Shaquille O'Neal, examines the internal and external pressure to succeed as told through childhood friends Rashaun and Damon, two talented basketball players from the same downtown neighborhood. The short is also co-written and produced by playwright Donnie F. Wilson (Take down Cabrini-Green) and Michael Paris (Shaq vs., Shaquille O'Neal presents) under the Jersey Legends Productions banner.

Other highlights from the showing include Save ralph di Spencer Susser in collaboration with Humane Society International (HSI), with the voiceover of the A-listers Taika Waititi (Jojo rabbit), George Lopez (George Lopez's show), Zac Efron (The greatest showman), Olivia Munn (The submission), Ricky Gervais (The office United Kingdom) and Pom Klementieff (Guardiani della galassia); Felix Kiner'S The Broken Candle (The broken candle) with Tiffany Haddish (Girls trip) and Eugenio Derbez (How to be a Latin lover); Demi's Panic by the famous animator and Oscar nominee Bill Plympton; Grammy nominated artist Jordan Asher Cruz (aka Boots) e Jennifer Goodridge'S No Future Here with Cleopatra Coleman (The last man on earth); as well as the Oscar nominee Eric Oh'S People, among others.
