Animation Nights New York makes a virtual return to Cannes

If you miss the hustle and bustle of the Croisette this year, fear not: Animation Nights New York is bringing together contemporary and entertaining cartoons for a Cannes virtual showcase.

Offered as an additional opportunity for ANNY directors, project teams from around the world are invited to attend the 75th Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Court Metrage Short Film Corner. These 17 films are part of the Animation Nights New York 2022 Cannes Short Film Corner Collection . The program will be available for viewing on the ANNY Collection in the Short Film Corner Library for festival accreditation from 23 to 27 May.

The films will also be presented as a June 26 screening event of ANNY'S by In Competition Films (screening # 72, season 7).

ANNY Cannes attendees will receive festival accreditation with online support from the ANNY team. ANNY is organizing mixer events and networking opportunities with industry professionals through ANNY Exchange. Additionally, ANNY will participate in events with the Cannes Court Métrage Short Film Corner hybrid events.

The directors and producers participating in the program ANNY 2022 in Cannes represent over 15 countries on three continents. With a duration of about 88 minutes in total and edited by ANNY with programming by Chitra Roy, the short films selected are (in order of programming):

Dedicated exclusively to short films and directors, the goal of the Short Film Corner is to create a meeting place for filmmakers from around the world, offering workshops and panel discussions to attendees to learn more about the film industry and current trends, and a cocktail of daily networking at 17pm now. ANNY's films will be available on a dedicated channel from 00 to 23 May.

The Marché du Film is the commercial part of the festival, facilitating exchanges between sellers and buyers. Thousands of films are shown on the market to be seen by buyers and the market offers an incredible opportunity to network with companies and professionals in the sector. ANNY organized a screening of her 17 selected films as part of this market.
