Animation veteran Maureen Mlynarczyk dies aged 47

We are saddened by the recent death of animation veteran Maureen Karen Mlynarczyk, who passed away in February at the age of 47 after a two-year battle with colon cancer. The much-loved animation timekeeper received an Emmy in 2017 for her work Adventure Time with Finn and Jake and also received five Emmy nominations for his contribution to Adventure Time, Steven Universe, The Cleveland Show and Camp Lazlo.

Born in Washington DC, Mlynarczyk spent much of her childhood in Westfield, New Jersey. He received his BA from Skidmore College and his MFA from UCLA began working in the animation industry in the early 2000s as a director and timekeeper on television programs such as Withdrawal, Rugrats, Fillmore, Scooby-Doo News? American Dragon: Jake Long, Camp Lazlo, Family Guy e Vegetarian tales, and features like Rugrats go wild e The simpsons movie.

Over the past two decades, he has lent his timing and animation talent to a wide variety of cartoons, including Futurama, Drawn Together, American Dad!, Adventure Time, Clarence, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Steven Universe, Big Mouth, Craig of the Creek, Disinchantment e Victor and Valentino.

She outlived her partner Andrew Dubel, her parents Peter and Catherine Mlynarczyk, and her sisters and brother-in-law Karen and John Vagelatos, Elizabeth and Christopher Salinger.
