Lightspeed Electroid AlbegasArbegas cartoons (original title Kosoku Denjin Albegus) were broadcast in Italy towards the end of the 80s, on various local television stations. The series was produced in 1983 by Toei Animation for a total of 45 episodes.

The story is set in the future, where the planet earth is threatened by the presence of the evil aliens of the Empire of Derinjer, led by President Azer. To cope with the danger, scientists Professor Mizuki and Dr. Saiko Asabuki who run a robotics design school want to select intelligent young people who can pilot robots. They therefore indicate a competition that sees equal winners Daisaku Enjoji, Tetsuya Jin and Mizuki Hotaru (daughter of Professor Mizuki), thanks to the invention of three robots. These are further modified by scientists, who thus give rise to the gigantic robots called Alpha, Beta and Gamma, whose initials form the inscription Al-Be-Ga-s (the original name). The Alpha robot (black color) is piloted by Daisaku Enjoji and can fight using the Electric Boomerangs and the Alpha Sword. The Beta robot (blue color) is led by Tetsuya Jin and is armed with Electric Chains and a Beta Sword. Finally, the beautiful Hotaru Mizuki completes the trio with the Gamma Robot (red color), armed with Electric Arrows and Gamma Sword. The three Robots can combine with each other in different ways to give rise to the "Space Dimension" used to fight in space, outside the planet earth. "Sky Dimension" useful in aerial combat. "Underground Dimension" when the battle takes place underground. "Sea Dimension" which they use when Derinjers attack from the sea. The most powerful configuration, however, is the "Denjin Dimension" when the three robots give rise to the powerful Electric God Arbegas 40 meters high, which gives it a charge of energy capable of multiplying its power and using the Sword Sanbai, which is born from union of the three swords. As in all robotic series of the 70s - 80s, the clumsy and awkward robot similar to Boss Robot of Mazinger Z and to the Mechadon of Jeeg Robot, which in this case is called Gori Robot (or Gorilla Robot). When they have to fly the Daisaku Robots, Tetsuya and Hotaru by means of their spacecraft fit into the backs of the robots or they can join together to form a plane called Super Abega.
