'Asterix' conquers Netflix in the new 3D series by French author Alain Chabat

The series was created in collaboration with Les Editions Albert René (France) from the publisher Hachette and is expected to debut in 2023.

I watched the animated specials and read the books religiously. If I had told the eight year old that one day I would help bring these characters to life… I would not have believed you! "

The series will be directed by French author and playwright Alain Chabat, who wrote and directed the highly successful live-action film Asterix Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra - the third highest-grossing film in French history. Alain Goldman of Legende Films will produce.

Bazay also revealed that the series will be adapted from one of the classic volumes of the 60-year-old comic, Asterix and the great battle: “… The Romans, after being constantly embarrassed by Asterix and his village cohorts, organize a brawl between rival Gallic chiefs and try to fix the result by kidnapping a druid along with his much needed magic potion.
