BBC Studios launches CG miniseries "Daleks!"
BBC Studios on Wednesday announced Doctor Who Time Lord Victorious Daleks! - a five-part CGI animated story, which will launch in November this year. The episodes will be available to watch for free on the Doctor Who YouTube channel every week.
The animated series consists of 5 episodes lasting 10 min. boasts a stellar dubbing cast, featuring Nicholas Briggs (voice of the Dalek in Doctor Who), Joe Sugg (ThatcherJoe from YouTube, Strictly Come Dancing), Anjli Mohindra (Bodyguard, The Sarah Jane Adventure) to Ayesha Antoine (Holby City).
"This latest, fantastic, adventure in the world of animation, with the Daleks as the stars of the show, is something that so many of us have wanted for years," said Briggs, who has been part of the Whoniverse in multiple facets since the 80s. . “And for me it was a wonderful challenge, as usual to play every single Dalek in action, but with the added thrill of playing some well-written characters and protagonists of Dalek. It was great and I can't wait to see the finished production. "
Sugg said, “I am super excited and grateful to have been invited to play a role in this new animation. I've been a fan of Doctor Who from a young age, therefore, being part of it is a dream come true. "

Written by animation veteran James Goss (The invasion, The infinite search) and created by Studio Liddell, an animation shop based in Salford, UK, Daleks! is a BBC Studios Digital production.
Time Lord Victorious officially launched earlier this month, with products and experiences declining every week until early 2021. Cross-platform story brings together eleven partners across ten platforms for the first time to tell a brand new Doctor Who adventure for fans of all the world.
