"Billy Fei and the Cloud Trials" the animated series by Scribble Studios and Lil Critter Workshop

Scribble Studios e Lil Critter Workshop have announced that they are recipients of funding  Epic MegaGrant da Epic Games, the famous video game development house. The support provided by MegaGrant has enabled a co-production between the two Malaysian studios and will be used to finance the upcoming CGI sci-fi action and adventure series titled Billy Fei and the Cloud Trials (Billy Fei and the cloud trials).

Launched in 2019, Epic MegaGrants is a $ 100 million grant to accelerate the work of talented teams and individuals worldwide, working with 3D animation software Unreal Engine, 3D graphics tools and open source software.

Aimed at an audience aged six and over, Billy Fei and the Cloud Trials (Billy Fei and the cloud trials) is an animated series consisting of 26 episodes each lasting 22 minutes, which follows the adventures of Billy, Bambin and Thoren, three mismatched heroes, who are unexpectedly put together to compete in the Grand Tournament. The trio find themselves on daring missions with thrilling chase sequences, thrilling treasure hunts and dangerous challenges that enthrall the people of Euthenia every four years.

The thrilling and high-tension series promises to be fun and exciting as its young heroes learn and grow as a team, quickly becoming friends in the face of constant challenges. The producers aim to deliver a "breathtaking character-based visual storytelling" powered by the Unreal Engine.

Lil Critter Workshop has hired the famous writer and comic book author Cavan Scott, to assist with the script and story. Scott has already worked extensively on popular franchises such as Doctor Who, Adventure Time e Penguins of Madagascar, among others. One of the main contributors to Lucasfilm's new multimedia storytelling initiative, Star Wars: The High Republic, is also a comic book author for Marvel, DC Comics, IDW and Dark Horse.
