Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King

Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King(original Japanese title: ブラッククローバー魔法帝の剣, Hepburn : Burakku Kurōbā: Mahōtei no Ken) is a Japanese animated film (anime ) directed by Ayataka Tanemura and produced by Studio Pierrot . Based on the Black Clover manga series by Yūki Tabata, the film will be released in Japanese theaters and Netflix internationally on June 16, 2023.
History
Asta, a boy born without magic in a world where magic is everything, and his rival Yuno, a genius wizard chosen from the legendary 4-leaf Grimoire, fought together a series of powerful enemies to prove their power over the odds and aim for the best wizard the “Wizard King”. Facing Asta and Yuno, who dream of becoming the Wizard King, are the Wizard Kings of the past.
Conrad Leto, the predecessor of Julius Novachrono Wizard King, once respected by the people of Clover Kingdom, but suddenly rebelled against the kingdom and was sealed has been resurrected. He now aims to use the "Imperial Sword" to resurrect the 3 most feared Wizard Kings in history, Edward Avalaché, Princia Funnybunny and Jester Garandaros, and conquer Clover Kingdom, the Kingdom of Clover.

Production
An anime film adaptation of Black Clover was announced in Weekly Shōnen Jump in March 2021. In October 2022, it was announced that the film would feature returning staff and cast from the television series
The cast includes Ayataka Tanemura to direct, Pierrot to produce the animation, Johnny Onda and Ai Orii who wrote the scripts and Itsuko Takeda who designed the characters. The film was originally scheduled to be released simultaneously in Japanese theaters and beyond Netflix internationally on March 31, 2023, but was later pushed back to June 16 of the same year due to the COVID-19 pandemic affecting its production.
