Blue magic (original title: 青 い ブ リ ン ク, Aoi Burinku) also known as Blue blink is a fantasy anime series created by Osamu Tezuka. The anime is based on the classic film Konjok-gorbunok by Ivan Ivanov-Vano. The film, in turn, is based on The little hunchbacked horse by Pyotr Pavlovich Yershov.

This was Tezuka's last anime series. Osamu Tezuka died while this series was in production. The studio completed production according to his plans. The show was streamed on Anime Sols, but was removed because it didn't meet its crowdfunding goal for DVD. It is currently only available for legal streaming on Viki.com

History

The story opens with the meeting between our hero, Brunello (Kakeru), and a mystical pony named Magic (Blink). Brunello (Kakeru) saves Magic (Blink) from a shower of thunder and in gratitude, Magic (Blink) tells him that if he gets in trouble, all Brunello (Kakeru) has to do is say his name three times. and will appear. At the end of the summer, when Brunello (Kakeru) returns home, his father, a writer of children's stories, is kidnapped. Brunello (Kakeru), crying, calls Blink's name and, as promised, Magic appears immediately, and the two set out on the trail of their father Francesco
