From 1957 Hanna and Barbera left Metro Goldwyn Mayer and set up their own business, creating the famous company "Hanna & Barbera". From here began the very famous cartoons with the characters we all know. First of all Praccobald Bau (Huckleberry hound in the original American) is their progenitor and was created in 1959. Braccobaldo is the character who used to introduce all the animated cartoons of Hanna and Barbera in the famous Braccobaldo Show. His close-up popped out of a paper circle and sang "Are you all here? We are all here and all together we want to see Braccobaldo Bau!" . The cartoons that were broadcast in addition to those of Braccobaldo were: Ernesto Sparalesto, Yogi and Bubu, Ginxie, Pixie and Dixie , Autogatto and Mototopo, Tatino and Tatone, Luca Tortuga, Wally Gator, Leone Svicolone, Napo bear Capo, Magilla Gorilla and many others. Huckleberry Hound she is a friendly and well-mannered dog who always hums the little song "O my dear, my dear, my dear Clementina!", as she walks before running into some adventure (or misadventure). He is always very calm and this would make him seem naive, but in reality Braccobaldo is very smart and always manages to have the clarity to find the right solution at the right time. He is a blue Bracco, he wears a bow tie around his neck and very often several straw hats.

Huckleberry Hound he is often involved in bizarre adventures where he has the opportunity to express all his common sense thus managing to save himself from relatives, friends and bungling bandits. Among the various adventures of Braccobaldo there is the one that sees him struggling with the termites that have invaded his home and that he tries to drive them away with a jet of water from the pump of his garden. Much of the success is also linked to his comics which for years has been read for several generations, especially in America. Braccobaldo was the first of the Hanna and Barbera cartoons to be made with the so-called "limited animation" technique, that is, made especially for television as it had few background details, it was easy and quick to make (which allowed a serial production) and last but not least, it was a less expensive type of production than all the other cartoons that were made in those years, but no less fun and hilarious. Even today the cartoons of Huckleberry Hound are broadcast by various television stations and are intended for both a very young audience and an adult audience, as his stories are always very comical and funny, sometimes mirroring the small everyday problems that all of us face or have faced sometimes laughing at ourselves.
