Cartoon Network for the prevention of bullying with “Craig of the Creek

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and Cartoon Network has released new cartoons for the pro-social campaign, Stop Bullying: Speak Up (Stop bullying: talk), with the hit series Emmy nominated, GLAAD and NAACP Image Award, Craig of the Creek.

Launched in 2010, Stop Bullying: Speak Up (Stop bullying: talk) allows children to speak safely and effectively in the face of bullying, while helping them to develop greater kindness, caring and empathy that stops bullying before it begins. Recent partners include: Raising Good Gamers and The Cyberbullying Research Center, as well as PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center.

In addition, Cartoon Network and PACER's National Center for the Prevention of Bullying have collaborated to engage and enable children to tackle bullying whenever it occurs - at school, online or in their communities - with the “Children's Challenge Against bullying ”, which began on 1 October. Cartoon Network is reaching millions of children with the new cartoon Stop Bullying: Speak Up (Stop bullying: talk) encouraging children to tackle bullying and be part of the solution, and by collaborating on the “Kids Take On Bullying Challenge”.

PACER's National Center for Bullying Prevention has created resources and materials for educators and parents to help children explore the problem of bullying and the ways they can act, all hosted on a personalized microsite: www.kidstakeonbullying.com.

For the challenge, educators and parents will be encouraged to work with their children to develop an idea of ​​bullying they want to carry on in their community. Two schools / groups will be selected and will receive $ 500 to invest in their fantastic idea and will get six hours of 1: 1 coaching and work sessions with PACER to help realize their ideas.
