Cartoons on the Bay Digital 2020 kicks off on December 18th
By now consolidated appointment, that of Cartoons on the Bay, the international festival of television, film and cross-media animation with a long journey behind it that began in 1995. In fact, this year too there will be an appointment, with Cartoons on the Bay Digital 2020, the renewed edition from the current perspective of the event. For the first time, the festival will take place entirely digitally together with the contribution of Rai Play, Rai Boys e Rai Radio. As usual, there will be well-known meeting occasions, such as previews, masterclasses, round tables and meetings with special guests who are always the highlight of contexts like this. From 18 to 20 December it will be possible to follow the live streaming from the Rai Play website. The Pulcinella Awards ceremony is also highly anticipated this year and this time will take place on the last day of the event at Room A of Radio Rai located in via Asiago in Rome.
CARTOONS ON THE BAY 2020, THE FINALISTS
The 51 finalist works of the 2020 edition of the Cross-media Animation and Children's TV Festival, promoted by Rai and organized by Rai Com in collaboration with the Abruzzo Region and the municipalities of Pescara and L'Aquila, scheduled in Pescara were selected. from 3 to 5 December. Five competing productions for each category, 16 for the Feature Films category. There are 20 countries that will take part in the final phase of the competition. These are the works chosen by the preselection jury from among the 350 works received.

64 works will be chosen from among all categories for the selection out of competition International Panorama. The winners of the UNICEF award and the Migrarti Cartoon award will also be chosen among the finalist works.
The winners among the competing works will be decided by the international jury made up of John Pomeroy (director, designer and screenwriter, art director), Annalisa Liberi (Head of Rai Ragazzi purchasing products), Marie-Claire Isaaman (CEO of Women in Games ), Patricia Vasapollo (HR / ARD Family and Fiction Product Manager) and Yago Fandiño (RTVE Youth Content Director). The feature film jury is composed by Stefania Ulivi (Journalist of Corriere della Sera), Arianna Finos (Journalist of La Repubblica) and Flavio Natalia (Director and journalist of CIAK). On the other hand, the authors and designers Katjia Centomo and Valentina Bertuzzi and the Director of RaiPlay and Rai Digital Elena Capparelli are part of the Jury of the Pitch Me competition.
