The official Twitter account of the television anime of the manga for adults Chainsaw man by Tatsuki Fujimoto revealed that the anime will premiere on TV Tokyo and five other affiliated channels, as well as on Amazon Prime Video on October 11. (The announcement does not specify whether Amazon Prime Video will debut worldwide or exclusively in Japan. It will begin streaming to other streaming services in Japan on October 12.

The Twitter account also announced that MAP will stream live the discussion event for the anime's world premiere at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills on September 19. The announcement doesn't mention a stream from the world premiere itself and only mentions the conversation event. The announcement also doesn't mention whether the stream will have English subtitles.

Crunchyroll will stream the anime to over 200 countries and territories around the world. The company will stream the anime in Japanese with English subtitles and English dubbing. The anime will also receive voiceovers in Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and German.

Ryū Nakayama (Black Clover, director of the Jujutsu Kaisen episodes) will direct the anime at MAPPA and Hiroshi Seko (Ajin, Attack on Titan The Final Season) will write the scripts. Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) is designing the characters.
