Chrono Crusade (original title Kurono Kuruseido), is a shounen anime based on the manga comic of the same name by Daisuke Moriyama, published by the Japanese publishing house Shueisha. The first edition was published from December 1999 until September 2004. The Italian edition was released with Panini Comics for the Planet Manga series, between 2005 and 2007. In the first episode "Sister Rosette"We are introduced to the action and the first main characters. New York 1928, Sister Rosette Christopher, a first-level exorcist of the Order of the Magdalene, is accompanied on her mission by the gentle demon Chrono with the appearance of a child, characterized by a Long braid. During one of their nights they are called to intervene in an old abandoned restaurant, to hunt down an evil demon. In the fight, Rosette ends up destroying a building. Meanwhile, the convent alchemist shows Rosette a new designed weapon, the Gospel. During a new mission in which Rosette and Chrono are sent to destroy a haunted ship, Chrono throws Rosette the Gospel , which completely destroys the devil who infests the ship, but in the meantime it crashes fatally against the Statu a of Liberty.

In the second episode "The contract" the alchemist gives Rosette and Chrono a new weapon, called the Spirit, to deliver it to Sister Kate, but the two are interrupted by a mission.
