CURIOUS AS GEORGE

Curious GeorgeIt is now an increasingly rare event to write about the release of an animated film without the use of 3D, yet the producer Ron Howard (the director of "The Da Vinci Code") takes on this challenge, thanks to the monkey George, which in America enjoys great popularity, being taken from the children's stories by the Rey spouses that have been published since 1941, when the two Jewish authors fled from Hitler's Germany to find refuge in Massachusetts. Curious George's books have sold over 30 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 17 languages. The film is therefore a dutiful homage to this character and tries to be faithful to the design of the original illustrations, enriched with bright and bright colors and a characterization of the characters that transmits serenity and joy. Curious GeorgeThe story tells the adventures of little chimp George when he meets Ted, a tour guide of the Bloomsberry museum, who is in the jungle in search of the lost reliquary of Zagawa. In order to save the museum from closing, Ted is commissioned by Mr. Bloomsberry to retrieve the precious relic, hoping for an increase in visitors. He doesn't know, however, that his son Junior is plotting to turn the museum into a large parking lot, a deal that will get him a lot of money. George decides to follow Ted to return his hat, so he embarks on the ship that will take him to New York. Curious GeorgeHere, being little used to the "city jungle" and endowed with an irrepressible curiosity, the nice little monkey George will combine a sea of troubles which, on the other hand, will entertain the little spectators of the cinema. He will fly hanging from balloons, paint the rooms in Ted's house where pets are strictly prohibited, and leave his footprints everywhere. But among George's merits there will be that of contributing to the love between the shy Ted and the beautiful teacher Maggie, who takes his class to visit the museum.

To embellish the film there are the beautiful songs written and performed by Jack Johnson, where we find the nice "Upside Down".
