In Cars 2 Lightning McQueen, star of motor racing and his inseparable friend Mater take part in the first World Grand Prix, which will proclaim the fastest car in the world and together live new and exhilarating adventures. But the road to success, as we know, is always full of holes, detours and surprises.

Mater is involved in an intriguing adventure that seems made for him: a case of international espionage! He then finds himself torn between being close to Lightning McQueen in the car race and staying defi side in the top-secret mission. A plan orchestrated ad hoc by Finn McMissile, British super-spy and his charming apprentice Holley Shiftwell. The adventurous journey of Mater takes him on a breathtaking chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, followed by his friends and under the eyes of the whole world. The fast-paced fun includes an all-new colorful cast, with menacing villains from all over the world.
