History

The story is set in the future 400 years after our time. The world is almost entirely submerged by the oceans due to the melting of the polar ice caps, due to human pollution. XNUMX-year-old Elfie lives with her adoptive father and brother in one of the rebuilt underwater cities. One day, after a failed submarine ride, Elfie loses her oxygen mask, but discovers she has no problem breathing underwater. Also, her hair takes on a bluish color. Intrigued, she questions her father who seems troubled by her words. Elfie thus discovers that she belongs to an underwater people ready to declare war on men, to protect the sea which is increasingly polluted and constitutes their only source of life.
