Manga based on the classic Hakkenden novel released in December 2017

This year's 18th digital issue of Big Comic Superior magazine Shogakukan published the final chapter of the manga's Babel Yugo Ishikawa. Shogakukan will publish the ninth volume of the manga on September 30 and will publish the tenth and final volume on October 29.

The manga is based on the classic Japanese novel Nanso Satomi Hakkenden, which begins with the deaths of Fusehime and her dog husband at the hands of Fusehime's ex-girlfriend. Years later, eight young warriors - all bearing the word "dog" in their surnames - come together to fight for justice.

Ishikawa published the manga in Big Comic Superior in December 2017. The manga was transferred to the digital version of the magazine exclusively in September 2019. Shogakukan published the eighth volume of manga books on March 30.

Ishikawa's manga Yoiko  inspired a television anime adaptation that aired from 1998 to 1999. His Kappa no Kaikata manga also inspired an anime television series of short films that aired in 2004, and his own Fighting the Wulong beauty manga inspired a television anime series that aired from 2005 to 2006.

Ishikawa published the manga Wonderland su Big Comic Superior in April 2015, immediately after finishing his Sprite serialization after six years. Wonderland was finished in October 2017, two months before publication Babel by Ishikawa. Shogakukan has published six volumes of books compiled for the manga Wonderland . Seven Seas Entertainment published the series in English.
