The new series of I Rugrats brings the characters of Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, Phil and Lil back to Paramount + starting Thursday, October 7th. Inspired by the 90s Nickelodeon classic, the CG animated series was recently expanded for a 13-episode second season.

In the brand new episodes of the first season, the children will continue to find themselves in a variety of situations using their wild imaginations, including defeating an "outer space villain", traveling through the body of Chuckie's father, embarking on a daring mission to break Angelica. out of kindergarten and more. The new episode series also includes a Halloween-themed half-hour special in which Tommy needs the help of his friends to rescue Angelica after she turns into a werewolf at a scary Halloween party while their parents they seem to disappear one by one.

In the episode "Escape from kindergarten" Craig of the Creek vocal star Charlet chung plays Kimi Watanabe, Angelica's eternal cheerful opponent in kindergarten. The character was first introduced in the film Rugrats in Paris and, as Chuckie's half-sister, she became a key character in the original Rugrats and its spin-off series All grown up!. She was originally voiced by Dionne Quan.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, the brand new Rugrats is based on the four-time Daytime Emmy Award, six-time Kids' Choice Award and the Hollywood Walk of Fame-honored series created by Arlene Klasky, Gabor Csupo and Paul Germain, which marked its 30th anniversary on August 11. Eryk Casemiro (Rugrats) and Kate Boutilier (Rugrats) are executive producers, and Dave Pressler and Casey Leonard are executive co-producers, with Rachel Lipman (Rugrats) as co-producer and Kellie Smith as line producer in the first season.
