Except for the next release Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, another title from a galaxy far, far away that is coming to Nintendo's hybrid system is Star Wars: Hunters.
If you don't remember this, it's a “free-to-download” competitive third-person shooter created by developer FarmVille Zynga and Lucasfilm, and was originally revealed earlier this year in February.
The teaser trailer was nothing more than a movie, but now the first images of the game (specifically the mobile version) have been leaked in a new update. Here's a look, courtesy of the Star Wars: Hunters News Twitter account, which also notes how a soft launch will soon take place:
According to some PR, Hunters will take place after the fall of the Galactic Empire and is inspired by the iconic locations of Star Wars. You'll be able to take control of daring bounty hunters, rebellion heroes, imperial stormtroopers and more in fast-paced and visually stunning combat.
Here's what Lucasfilm Games Vice President Douglas Reilly said about Star Wars Hunters when it was first revealed:
"Star Wars: Hunters draws inspiration from the classic stories and settings of Star Wars , but with a look and feel unlike anything we've done before. We are thrilled to introduce this extremely creative cast of characters to our fans on Nintendo Switch, where they can join their friends in exciting battles at home or on the go. ”
Star Wars: Hunters is expected to arrive on Switch and mobile devices later this year.
