History

Natsuki Subaru, a regular high school student, is returning home from the convenience store when he finds himself transported to another world. Since he's lost and confused in a new world where he doesn't even know left from right, the only person to contact him was a beautiful girl with silver hair. Determined to somehow repay her for saving him from her own despair, Subaru agrees to help the girl find something he is looking for of her.

Based on the light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin'ichiro Ōtsuka, the anime series produced by studio Whitie Fox (Steins; Gate, Goblin Slayer) was launched in 2016 on TV Tokyo's TXN and the Japanese anime channel AT- X. Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World is directed by Masaharu Watanabe (Granbelm, Naruto SD: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals) and written by Masahiro Yokotani (Sgt. Frog, Free!). Season 2, after a delayed release, became the most viewed anime series on Netflix Japan in 2020.

For fans who prefer Japanese original dialogue, English subtitled anime content can be found in the Crunchyroll Collection, where 4 million subscribers regularly receive clips, trailers and full episodes.
