History

Star Front Gall Force

This was the origin and forerunner of the Gall Force franchise. Originally appearing in the monthly magazine Model Graphix in Japan as a 3D photography novel using detailed models, this later set the stage for animated films. Rabby, Patty, and Rumy were the only main Solnoid characters present and were equipped with different uniforms, weapons and vehicles than those shown in the regular Gall Force OVAs. Although it was the first ever plot of the Gall Force myth proper, Star Front's place in the official continuity has been questioned and ignored due to the contradictions between it and Eternal Story. Although it is the actual origin of the franchise, it is now seen by fans as non-canon or as an alternate timeline. Another factor that raises doubts is the fact that fans outside of Japan have never known about the existence of the photo novel.

The original timeline of the Gall Force series consists of four story arcs: First Story Arc, Rhea Arc, Earth Chapter Arc, and New Era Arc. Within each arc there are several episodes, with the exception of Rhea.

Original trilogy

The first story arc begins with the centuries-old war between the Paranoids and Solnoids, the exodus of primitive humanity to planet Earth and the death of the crew of Star Leaf. The timeline ends with the events leading up to the Rhea Arc. The first story arc consists of three episodes: Gall Force: Eternal Story, Gall Force 2: Destruction, Gall Force 3: Stardust War

Gall Force 2: Destruction

Ten years later, one of the two Star Leaf survivors, Lufy, is rescued from space by Solnoid's forces. There, he confronts the secret plan that had come true in the previous episode: to genetically unite both races, codenamed "Species Unification Plan". Destroyed by insecurity, Lufy is forced to make a decision as Solnoids and Paranoids face off in battle in the same solar system where the new life form and Star Leaf's last survivor have established an existence - and the army of Solnoid, who are unaware of the plan, intend to field a System Destroyer to wipe out the enemy once and for all.

Characters

Shildy (シ ル デ ィ, Shirudi)
Shildy is the steadfast and composed leader of the new Gall Force crew that Lufy becomes involved in after her resuscitation and the main character of Destruction and Stardust War. Unlike Star Leaf's crew, Shildy and her friends are familiar with the plan for creating a third race, which means Catty must have confided in her a few times. He also shares the dream of achieving peace for both races.

Spea (ス ピ ア, Supea)
Shildy's best friend and confidant. He is particularly loyal to Shildy, going so far as to threaten others with death if they ever get in his way, and he also seems to admire and hold Shildy in high regard.

Amy (ア ミ ィ, Amii)
The junior mascot of the new Gall Force crew, in much the same way as Rumy for the previous crew. Amy is very shy and insecure, although she can handle herself in a fight if need be.
Catty Nebulart (キ ャ テ ィ ・ ネ ビ ュ ラ ー ト Kyati Nebyuraato)
Biological Model of Gynoid (android) Catty (although more advanced in age) and head of Solnoid Intelligence, she is also the instigator of the plan to genetically unite the Solnoids and the Paranoids. She is a pacifist at heart and even in the midst of war she seeks a way to give both races a chance to live in harmony with each other.

Journey (ジ ャ ー ニ ー, Jaanii)
Supreme leader of the Solnoids, leads the war against the Paranoids. She is obsessed with victory and she will stop at nothing to wipe out all the paranoids. The flower in her cap is the Traverser and manifests itself in a sort of holographic capsule.

NATO (ボ ー ン, Gift)
Also spelled as Bohn, he is the supreme leader of the Paranoids and leads the war against the Solnoids. Being the opposite equivalent of Journey, he is not as crazy as she is, although he too seeks total victory at all costs.
