Galtar and the Golden Spear - The 1985 animated series
Galtar and the golden spear (in the original English: Galtar and the Golden Lance) is a fantasy animated sword and sorcery series, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, which aired in syndication in 1985-86 as part of The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. The show ran for 21 episodes (30 minutes each) and is thought to have been created to counter the character's growing popularity. He-Man.
History
The series is about the mythical adventures of sword and sorcery of three companions: Galtar, Princess Goleeta and her younger brother, Zorn, who controls the mind. Galtar, with the help of his Golden Spear, is fighting against Tormack, the tyrannical usurper of the kingdom of Bandisar, who is conquering their world. Tormack is responsible for the deaths of both of Galtar's parents and the murder of the rest of Goleeta and Zorn's family.
Tormack craves the power of the Golden Spear, wishing to combine it with the Holy Shield, which rightfully belongs to Goleeta and Zorn. Whoever possesses both will become invincible. The Golden Spear normally exists as a short stick. However, when Galtar holds it above his head with both hands, he extends two mystical blades, one on each side, and can then be split into two swords for dueling. The spell that empowers the Golden Spear also protects it by releasing energy from its hilt (called the “Fury of the Golden Spear”) when held by an unworthy possessor.
The series was canceled before the final outcome of the conflict between Galtar and Tormack could be revealed.
Characters
Galatar - The main character of the series and bearer of the Golden Spear.
Princess Goleeta - The Princess of Bandisar.
Wrath - Princess Goleeta's younger and mind-controlled brother.
Thork - Galtar's faithful horse.
Tormack - The main villain of the series
Rak and Tuk - A duo of father and son dwarves who are inept mercenaries and have a tendency to betray others on both sides. They claimed it was the only job they knew of.
ither - Keeper of the Golden Spear, who eventually puts it in Galtar's cave.
Weeks - Leader of the marauders who also seeks the Golden Lance.
Pandas - The prince of a race called Nerms, who occasionally helps heroes.
Marine - A wild child who rescues and befriends Zorn.
Rava - Tormak's nephew who allies himself with Galtar and Goleeta. He wore a magical glove that could command fire and ice through the gems set within it. The gauntlet also had a black gem that could be used to summon Raven's Claw. Rava later gave this gauntlet to Goleeta.
Raven's claw - A fierce and powerful red dragon who comes to the aid of Galtar and Goleeta during the first episode of the series. Rava later gives Goleeta her magical gauntlet so that she can summon Raven's Claw at will.

The evil witch Mursa traps Princess Goleeta and steals her youth. Galtar works with the mysterious White Knight to save Princess Goleeta and defeat Mursa.
4 The Goleeta meeting 23 September 1985
Zorn, brother of Princess Goleeta, is captured and forced to work in Tormack's mines while Rak and Tuk take her to a trap where she is captured by Tormack.
5 shadowhaunt 30 September 1985
Galtar, Princess Goleeta and Zorn enter Shadowhaunt, where they are attacked by an invisible monster.

Galtar and Goleeta are kidnapped by an evil bird woman, Falca. It is up to Zorn to inspire your birdman to rise up and save his people and Galtar.
