HouseBroken the animated series for adults about group therapy

HouseBroken is an American animated series for adults created by Jennifer Crittenden, Clea DuVall and Gabrielle Allan that premiered on Fox on May 31, 2021.

HouseBroken follows the story of an anthropomorphic therapy poodle dog named Honey, who explores human neuroses by applying his knowledge of psychiatry, through guiding a group of other anthropomorphic neighborhood animals in group therapy sessions.

Honey is a poodle who opens her living room for the group to come and support each other. Honey also struggles with her own problems, such as mourning the death of her friend Big Cookie and her arranged marriage (by her human) to Chief.
Elsa, a power-hungry Corgi dog, knows everything and a service dog in training - or so she claims - that drives Honey crazy. Its owner is a negligent and oblivious young woman who has only put a service vest on Elsa so that she can get away with it or do things that are considered illegal without repercussions.
Chief, a sloppy and not too bright Saint Bernard and Honey's companion who enjoys eating socks, playing in the mud and licking himself.
Shel, a turtle with intimacy issues. He was having an affair with a single crocodile he calls "Lindsay" and would marry him until his partner Darla returns after 15 years.

The new episodes of HouseBroken

The brand new episodes of HouseBroken return to Fox Animation Domination this week!

In the brand new episode "Who Are You?" premieres Monday, August 9 at 21pm ET / PT, Coyote asks Honey to run away with him to Altadena and she torments her decision. Meanwhile, Diablo chooses to live with his carefree father and Max discovers he is not the original "Max". Additionally, Nibbles brings an annoying rat back to life.

HouseBroken is an animated series that follows a group of neighborhood pets and stray animals as they deal with their problems inside and outside the therapy group. Honey, a standard poodle, opens her living room for the group to come and support each other through the misery, chaos and majesty that it is to be a pet. Honey also struggles with her own problems, such as arranged marriage (by her human) with Chief (Nat Faxon), a sloppy Saint Bernard who likes to eat socks and lick himself.

The group includes Shel, a sex-positive turtle with intimacy issues and a knack for choosing unconventional partners; Tabitha, an elderly Persian cat beauty queen, trying to adapt to life outside the cat show circuit; The Gray One, a crafty street cat who lives with about thirty other cats and has only one eye on Tabitha; Chico, a robust, co-dependent and very naive cat; and the new member of the group, Diablo, an anxious terrier wearing a sweater and suffering from OCD.

The series is co-created and produced by Gabrielle Allan, Jennifer Crittenden and Clea DuVall. Mark Kirkland is managing director. Bento Box is the show's animation studio.

HouseBroken airs Mondays at 9 / 8c on Fox.
