Ketnet, MIAM! and TAT Awards 2021 Cartoon Tributes

Ketnet-VRT from Belgium, MIAM from France! Animation and TAT productions have been awarded the Cartoon Tributes 2021, the award created in 2006 to recognize the outstanding contribution made by broadcasters, distributors / investors and producers to the promotion of European animation over the past year. The winners were voted online in three categories by the nearly 900 professionals registered at the Cartoon Forum. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday 23 September in Toulouse, France.

ketnet was recognized as Broadcaster of the Year. As a children's brand of VRT, the public broadcaster in the Flemish part of Belgium, the channel is aimed at children up to 12 years old, while Ketnet Junior is a sub-brand aimed at children up to six years old that features series such as Doopie, Ollie, Simone e Bananimals.

Both a production and distribution company and a studio, MY M! Animation has been awarded as Distributor / Investor of the Year. Their list includes many series that were recently featured at the Cartoon Forum, such as The MiniWhatsPriZoonerBrazenSelfish.

One of the leading studies of Toulouse and the Occitania region, TAT Productions was recognized as Producer of the year. Founded in 2000 by David Alaux, Eric and Jean-François Tosti, this studio won an International Emmy Award for the TV series The Jungle Bunch. The company is also responsible for the films Terra wily e pila, released last August in France. TAT currently has three new feature films in development: ArgonautsThe Jungle Bunch 2Pets on a Train.
