The protagonists are the members of the "Alpha" team, powerful robots manufactured by the Hero Factory to counter evil: their names are Preston Stormer (Team Leader), Natalie Breez, William Furno, Jimi Stringer, Dunkan Bulk and Mark Surge.
The group was created by Akiyama Makuro, the oldest hero of all who no longer fights. As the head of the Alpha team, he is stationed in Makuhero City, the headquarters of the heroes who often manufactures new robots and upgrades
In the second series the Alpha team will be "upgraded" to version 2.0, with numerous weapons, a more powerful "core" and abilities deriving from the most powerful animals of nature. They will be joined by Nathan Evo, Julius Nex and Daniel Rocka.

The group of villains presents a large number of "villains", as they are defined in the original language. The first group is that of Von Nebula, leader of his namesake army. His minions are Rotor, Xplode, Corroder, Meltdowm, Thunder and Vapor. To these are added the other villains who respond to the orders of Fire Lord: they are Drilldozer, Jetbug and Nitroblast. Conclude the large group of evil forces Witch Doctor, Toxic Reapa, Black Phantom, Jawblade, Splitface and Thornraxx. The latter are mercenaries, who at times join the forces of the two lords Lord and Von Nebula to pursue common intentions, always at the expense of the Alpha Team.

Below are the plots of the first and 4 episodes of Hero Lego Factory, which aired respectively on 20, 21, 22 and 23 September 2010.

01. TEST MISSION (original title "Trials of Furno")
Stormer and his group, Alpha Team robots, land their ship on a distant planet to defeat Rotor and Xplode. The first is a flying robot henchman of Xplode, who instead is a mercenary who works for Von-Nebula, the enemy number 1 of the Hero Factory. The two villains, however, escape before they can be caught, making Furno eager to meet the two again and defeat them. Subsequently, the Alpha team manages to thwart a theft of explosives on another planet by the two villains. On this occasion, Furno defeats Rotor by capturing him, but Xplode manages to escape.

02. AT THE LIMIT OF RESISTANCE (Original title "Core Crysis")
Stringer, Bulk, Surge and Breez are named in a "planetoid" that serves as a prison, where Corroder, a robot with sharp claws and corrosive saliva, is attempting to destroy the place with everyone who works there. During the battle, Bulk is rendered powerless by a pile of beams that bury him as he tries to save Surge. The latter immediately works to help his friend, while Stringer keeps Corroder busy. But the situation is likely to get worse, because Corroder is about to take Stringer down. The Hero Factory then sends Furno to the battlefield. The latter manages to drive out Corroder, who escapes aboard his ship. To help Bulk comes Breeze, who manages to use an antigravity beam from the heroes' spaceship to lift the crushing bars.

03. THE ENEMY INSIDE (Original title "The enemy within")
Stormer and his friends travel to Mekron City, where an old friend of his lives: Police Captain Chief Drax. But they will discover that the police department and the entire city of Mekron have been infested with Meltdown and its toxic "nanobots", viruses that can transform circuits and make them evil. Stormer saves Furno before an attack can reach him, but he won't be able to protect himself. At this point it turns out that the evil robot works for Von Nebula. Stormer, returned to the base, will be freed just in time by the "nanobots".

04.VON NEBULA (Original title "Von Nebula")
The team travels to Von Nebula's team for the final battle. Meanwhile, the evil and powerful robot manages to lure Stormer and Furno into a black hole, to lead them to him. Both of them then come to Nebula, fight him and defeat him. Then, going through the black hole, they rejoin the Alpha team, which in the meantime has destroyed all the other elements of Von Nebula's group.

As for 2011, 2 Hero Lego Factory episodes were released, lasting twice as long as those of 2010.

01. FIRE TEST (Original title "Ordeal of fire")
When tanker number 22 is attacked by the despicable Fire Lord, the Alpha team (Stormer, Furno, Breez and Surge) is called to intervene to evacuate all personnel and capture the evil robot. But he will be overwhelmed and forced to flee as he retrieves the civilians. Fire Lord captures the group, but Surge sacrifices himself for the team and distracts the evil robot to allow the rest of the members to fly away. Back at the Hero Factory, Mr. Makuro shows them a new update of their technology which he calls 2.0: to show it, he created two new members, who answer the names of Nathan Evo and Julius Nex. These two heroes have more power and more lethal equipment. Even the old Alpha team, after reporting the bad news of Surge, will request the update. After an initial hesitation, Makuro grants them a chance to power up. At this point, the three "refurbished" robots return to the tanker, where a horde of Fire Lord's henchmen awaits them. After a long battle, Lord decides to make himself immortal by sucking up all the oil in the tanks. But the attempt fails when a spaceship throws Fire Lord to the ground: it will be discovered that Surge is driving it, who secretly managed to escape from captivity. This expedient allows others to destroy the robot. Upon returning to base, Surge will receive an upgrade to version 2.0, and will be celebrated as a hero.

02. THE WILD PLANET (Original title "Savage Planet")
Witch Doctor, a former Hero Factory trainer turned evil, aspires to be immortal. To do so, it is depleting all reserves of the mineral used to manufacture the "Quaza Core", the processor behind the extreme power of the Alpha team. Arrived in the planet quatros, natural reserve of this element, he uses Quaza nails to subdue the local population. After being updated to version 3.0 with the powers of the eagle, the white rhino, the tiger, the wolf and the bear, the Alpha team is enriched in the meantime with a new member: Daniel Rocka. Using the power of the latter (that of the Lion), the group puts an end to the plans of the Witch Doctor. www.cartonionline.com
