Nickelodeon continues to surprise its young audience with a new animated series coming soon: Max & the Midknights. This new production, based on the best-selling books by the acclaimed author and cartoonist Lincoln Peirce, known for the success of Big Nate, debuts Wednesday, October 30 at 19:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Featuring knights, magic, and heroic deeds, the series promises to transport little ones into a medieval world where adventure awaits at every turn.

The main character is Max, a brave 10-year-old girl who dreams of nothing more than becoming a knight and fighting dragons. However, her life is far from that of knights: Max, in fact, is forced to wander the countryside as an apprentice minstrel with her uncle Budrick, a bizarre but affectionate troubadour. Their adventures take them to the kingdom of Byjovia, where Max soon discovers that the kingdom is no longer the enchanting place Budrick remembered. Here, the adventures begin that will see Max join a group of equally extraordinary companions, the Midnights, with whom he will face challenges to free the kingdom from the dark forces that threaten it.

What makes it Max & the Midknights a truly special series is the way it manages to mix action, humor and original songs, creating an irresistible mix for young audiences. The universal themes of friendship, courage and justice are treated with great lightness, without losing sight of pure entertainment.

One of the strengths of the series is definitely its extraordinary voice cast. Bringing the Midknights to life are actors of great talent such as Neighborhood Blu (Star Trek: Discovery) who plays Max, a determined girl who is ready to do anything to protect her friends and the kingdom. Alongside her we find Melissa Villasenor (Saturday Night Live) in the role of Millie, an eccentric and positive girl who uses magic to help the group; Zeno robinson (Transformers: Earth Spark) such as Simon, a sarcastic and smart companion of Millie; and Caleb Yen (Beyblade) in the role of Kevin, a little genius with an astonishing photographic memory. Together, they form a close-knit team that faces any challenge with intelligence and humor.

To complete the picture of the main characters we find Jeremy Rowley (iCarly), who gives voice to the uncle Budrick, a bumbling and affectionate minstrel who acts as a parental figure to Max; Gary Anthony Williams (Central Park) in the role of Mumblin, a famous retired wizard who becomes the Midknights' mentor; Brian Stepanek (The Loud House) such as King Gastley, the evil ruler of Byjovia, and Beaufort India (It's Pony) who lends his voice to Fendra, a dark witch in service of the tyrant king.

The story revolves around Max and the Midknights' attempt to defeat the evil King Gastley, who has usurped the throne and imposed a reign of terror in the kingdom. Despite the difficulties, Max does not let herself be discouraged and, with the support of her friends and her uncle Budrick, she courageously faces every challenge that comes her way, proving that even a ten-year-old girl can be a great heroine.

Max & the Midknights is not only a captivating tale for children, but also a celebration of imagination and determination. Lincoln Peirce's idea of creating a strong and inspiring female protagonist intertwines perfectly with the desire of the little ones to live breathtaking adventures and overcome obstacles with the help of their imagination and their friends.

The series is produced by the talented Lincoln Peirce e Jane Startz (Ella Enchanted), with a top-notch team of creatives such as Sharon Flynn (All Hail King Julien) to David Skelly (Toy Story 2) that contribute to the quality and unique tone of the show.
