The Beyblade Metal Fusion anime (original title Metaru Faito Beiburedo) is taken from the manga comic by Takafumi Adachi, published since 2008 by Shogakukan and included in the CoroCoro Comic series for boys. The animated series divided into 51 episodes lasting 24 minutes each was produced by the animation studios of Tatsunoko under the direction of Kunihisa Sugishima. Its debut on Italian TV dates back to 2 October 2010 on Italia 1 and later re-proposed on the digital terrestrial channel Boing starting from 29 November 2010, also proposing the unpublished episodes. As can be easily understood from the title, Beyblade Metal Fusion is the sequel to the successful Beyblade series starring Takao, but none of the characters from the previous anime appear. The only thing in common is the passion for the Beyblade game.

Constellations sparkle in the sky and for each constellation, there is a Beyblade ready to fight.
During the episodes the adventures of passionate Bladers will be told, who have decided to bet everything on the game of Beyblade, a competition that boasts a large group of players and fans.
The protagonist is Ginka Hagane, a mysterious boy who dreams of becoming the strongest blader in the world and for this he wanders the world, in search of a worthy opponent. Ginka is characterized by strange straight hair, a blue band on his forehead with the effigy of Pegasus, a very long white scarf and perpetually wears a plaster on his nose. Inside his Beyblade lives the spirit of the Pegasus constellation, the winged horse called Storm Pegasus.
During the first episode we find him heading inside a city where the official Beyblade tournament takes place. Here the little Kenta Yumiya wins the prestigious tournament and is celebrated by the public. Kenta takes advantage of his Beyblade which embodies the spirit of the Sagittarius constellation and his victory does not come by accident as he has decided to train hard to win the national championship, after finishing in 4th place in the previous tournament.
Little Kenta runs into the terrible gang of thugs called Face Hunters, who offer him a challenge with their Beyblades. If Kenta loses the challenge, he will have to give all the points won in the various tournaments to his opponents. Kenta tries to escape, but is surrounded and forced to play.

The Face Hunters beyblades seem very strong and Kenta can't do anything with his top, but at a certain point Ginka's Storm Pegasus arrives, who with his power challenges the group of thugs. Although the Hunters fight with theirs in five beyblades, Ginka's is so fast and powerful that it takes them out in one shot, taking all their points and making them flee in terror. Ginka and Kenta thus become friends and Ginka tells them about her ambitions as bladers and her wandering the streets of the world, encouraging Kenta to improve her technique. According to Ginka, the secret of each Bladers starts from the heart and from the harmony with the spirit of the constellation that is hidden in the beyblade. The heart must therefore absorb all the cosmic energy, enclosed in the spirit of the zodiac sign.
Meanwhile, the Face Hunters have to deal with their leader Kyoya Tategami, enraged by their defeat, so the group sets out on Ginka's trail to take him to the metal tower and launch a group attack with their beyblades. A storm of 100 beyblades is launched against Ginka, with trajectories impossible to predict, while Kenta watches the scene. Ginka is not worried in the least and with confidence and determination, he launches his Storm Pegasus that hits all 100 spins, making them blow up with the same materialization as the winged horse. Kenta is enthusiastic about his friend's extraordinary feat, but he must pass another test and in fact is challenged by Kyoya himself with his Rock Leone beyblade.

One day Kenta and Ginka meet Madoka Amano, who with a particular notebook manages to analyze the structure of the beyblades, very accurately. Madoka studies Ginka's beyblade and notices several weak points, so she decides to fix it. The girl works in a workshop at her father's beyblade shop called B-Pit. After disassembling and cleaning the Storm Pegasus, in a job that takes her all night, Madoka has to move on to the final set-up. Kenta also hopes to give her Sagittarius a makeover and that morning she heads to the lab. Unfortunately on his way, he runs into the Face Hunter again, who tell him to communicate to Ginka that Kyoya intends to challenge him at the metal tower and to blackmail him, they seize Kenta's beyblade. Ginka infuriated by the incident takes back his beyblade to go to challenge the Face Hunter, although Madoka has not yet verified the balance of the top and its stability in the wind.

Madoka tries in vain to dissuade Ginka from fighting, but he is forced as Face Hunter Benkei Hanawa threatens to throw the Sagittarius beyblade from the top of the tower. Ginka and Kyoya begin the fight and the Rock Lion starts circling the Storm Pegasus. According to Madoka, Rock Leone focuses on defense and the ability to resist blows and in fact all attempts to attack by Ginka fail. Using the power of the wind blowing on top of the tower, Kyoya creates a vortex that creates an impassable wall of air. The wind of the Rock Leone tries to overwhelm the Storm Pegasus, which seems to have no escape and in fact is thrown out of the game arena. Victory now seems to be in Kyoya's hands, but Storm Pegasus swoops down on Rock Leone with a "shooting star" attack, which hitting him in the center throws him out of the arena, decreeing his definitive defeat to everyone's deep disappointment. the Face Hunter and an astonished Kyoya. He understands his mistake and Ginka's strategy, which despite the violent storm has risen high up to position itself in the center of the vortex, where the wind blows with less intensity and from here hit him centrally, in his weak point. Kenta can get his Sagittarius beyblade back, while Madoka continues to berate Ginka for being careless about the maintenance of the Storm Pegasus.

Meanwhile, a strange character tries to exploit Kyoya's thirst for revenge and his Face Hunters and so aboard a helicopter, he takes them to the top of a mountain. The strange character promises Kyoya to make him a much stronger Blader, so much so that he can defeat Ginka.
He is a great blader and owns the Dark Wolf, endowed with the three main characteristics of beyblades: attack, defense and resistance all at the same level, such as to make him almost invincible.
However Kyoya wants to test her strength and undertakes a challenge, aware that being on the top of a mountain, she will be able to take advantage of the wind effect.

Meanwhile Ayukawa has perfected the refurbishment of the Storm Pegasus, which is now as good as new, while Kenta and her friends are looking forward to receiving Ginka's teachings. But the boy doesn't want to be too busy, so he moves away from the group. Kenta fears that her friend has decided to leave to look for opponents worthy of him, so she decides to visit him in his usual place, near the river. Kenta intends to challenge Ginka to a battle as true opponents and thus hopes to dissuade him from leaving the city. Ginka makes no discounts and plays to its full potential. Despite the harsh attacks of the Storm Pegasus, Kenta's Sagittarius always remains in the game, continuing to spin and proving to be a good caster. Kenta knows that he can do nothing against Pegasus, so he tries to focus on the duration of the fight: in this way the energies of his opponent will weaken and he can give the final attack. When she feels that her beyblade's energy is running out, Ginka tries it all out with a final attack. Sagittarius resists and taking advantage of a slope of the ground, he rushes into Pegasus, sweeping him away. When Kenta thinks he has won, the Storm Pegasus falls from the sky with the lethal "shooting star" attack and takes out Kenta's beyblade, winning the challenge.
Kenta's regret is not that she has lost, but that Ginka will have to leave the city, because here she does not find opponents at her level. In reality Ginka does not intend to leave the city and wants to stay there for a long time. Despite everything, he does not intend to teach his technique, because he believes that everyone must learn on his own and draw strength and determination from his heart.
Ginka compliments Kenta for his tactical intelligence and determination, stating that it is a pleasure to face opponents like him. At those words, Kenta feels relieved and happy to be able to count on a great friend once again.

On the top of Mount Kyoya he began the challenge with his aspiring master and his Rock Lion begins the attack maneuver. Kyoya gives her best by forming the air barrier and hurling a storm of stones at the opponent's beyblade, trying to use the rocky terrain in her favor.
The Dark Wolf appears to be chased by the Lion Rock, but actually gets in its wake in order to take advantage of its own vortex, to increase the number of laps. When he feels he is at full power, he directly faces the Rock Leone with enough force to break his vortex of air and sweep him away. Kyoya has lost once again and he has no choice but to accept the teachings of that mysterious character. But if he's that strong, why doesn't he take on Ginka?
Back at the base, Benkei Hanawa and the other Face Hunters are sad for yet another defeat and because Kyoya has not returned with them. But who really is that mysterious man and where did he take Kyoya?
