Milo on Mars - The 2011 animated film

Milo on Marte Milo is a 9-year-old boy who can't bear to carry out the small daily tasks dictated by his mother, such as taking out the garbage or being forced to eat a healthy vegetable-based diet. He often reflects on how beautiful life would be without his mother's directives. One day, however, suddenly aliens land on earth and kidnap his mother. Only then does Milo understand the vital importance of him. This will lead him to face an extraordinary journey aboard a spaceship, in the company of the computer expert Gribble, in order to save it from aliens.

Milo on Mars Landed on the red planet, he discovers that Martians need to have mothers in order to raise their children, therefore they kidnap them from the earth. Milo will be faced with a highly advanced civilization, structured on various levels and dominated by an absolute ruler.

Motion capture films like A Christmas Carol and The Polar Express are based on Berkeley Breathed's illustrated children's book Mars Needs Moms. Robert Zemeckis entrusted the direction of the film to Simon Wells, who in turn made use of the collaboration of actors Seth Green (who played Milo), Joan Cusack (his mother) and Dan Fogler (Gribble), who wore the sensors on their faces and on all parts of the body, they have seen themselves rendered in 3d and projected in a virtual reality with stunning graphics and breathtaking scenes.
