Monciccì - The 1983 animated series
Weather in Monciccì is an American animated series based on the line of plush dolls Weather in Monciccì, produced by the Japanese company Sekiguchi Corporation. The animated series was produced by Hanna-Barbera, and premiered on ABC on September 10, 1983 as part of The Monchhichis / Little Rascals /Richie Rich Show, replacing Pac-Man (who by then had a half-hour slot of his own) from the previous season.
The series aired as part of a show package with The Little Rascals and Richie Rich until the end of 1983, but as early as January 7, 1984, due to lower than expected ratings, the show package was split into two separate halves - hour shows - Weather in Monciccì moved at 8 a.m. ET, switching slots with Cococinel re-broadcasts, the last of which would move at 00 a.m. ET and The Little Rascals and Richie Rich they remained on the 8:30 am ET time slot, as a series of downgraded The Little Rascals / Richie Rich Show packages for the remainder of the 1983-84 season.
In Italy the series is entitled Weather in Monciccì and had two voiceovers. The first dubbing was broadcast on Canale 5 from 23 March 1982 with the initials Mon Ciccì by Cristina D'Avena.
