Monster Hunter Stories 2 adds a new cooperative mission

Although Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is very different from the action-oriented main series video games, it shares many similar concepts. It offers various options for online cooperative hunting, it's a very very long experience, one that will keep you busy for weeks (or months), and Capcom regularly adds more in free DLC updates.

On August 5th, the game will add a tough co-op mission to take on Kulve Taroth; there will also be Monsties of Hellblade Glavenus and Boltreaver Astalos. This definitely seems to be late game stuff, or something to tackle with a co-op friend who is a master at the video game and eager to help.

There are two more free content updates expected in September and then one in October, so there will be many more coming to MH Stories 2.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin  is a role-playing video game developed and published by the Japanese software house Capcom on July 9, 2021 for Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows. The video game is one spin off of the series Monster Hunter and the sequel to Monster Hunter Stories, published in 2016.

The story opens with the disappearance of numerous examples of Rathalos. As a descendant of the legendary rider named Red, the protagonist will meet a Wyvernian girl who has been entrusted with an egg of Rathalos.

The game was announced by Nintendo on September 27, 2020, during the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. During the presentation, it was revealed that the title will have cross compatibility with Monster hunter rise.

On March 8, 2021, during the Monster Hunter Digital Event, it was announced by Capcom that the game will be made available globally on July 9, 2021.
