"Monstrous!" the children's comedy from Gutsy Animations

Gutsy Animations The Emmy-nominated studio is developing a new 2D animated series titled Monstrous! (52 x 11 ') aimed at children aged 7 to 9 and looking for co-production partners. This funny comedy is about a group of teenagers trying to fit into a world where monsters and humans live side by side. The show celebrates difference and diversity and aims to show that you can never judge a book by its cover.

Monstrous! follows the hilarious and heartwarming adventures of quirky tween Nelly, who has the even more bizarre task of taking care of the little monsters as their parents travel to town. Yes, Nelly is tasked with herding creatures with multiple tentacles, off-center eyeballs, and a huge and sometimes uncontrollable slime ability. What could go wrong… right?

Bolstering the gross laughter, comedic fears and slapstick adventures will be warm, recognizable and emotional stories that resonate with tweenagers who are beginning to understand the challenges of personal identity and belonging - stories that address and celebrate the complexity of difference and community, making stereotypes and assumptions explode.
