MoonDreamers - The 1986 animated series

MoonDreamers is an American animated series that aired in 1986 as part of the My Little Pony 'n Friends lineup. My Little Pony aired in the first 15 minutes, and the second half alternated between MoonDreamers, Potato Head Kids and The Glo Friends. All of these cartoons promoted Hasbro toys. The series first aired on CBN Family Channel from 1989 to 1990, Family Channel from 1990 to 1995 during the My Little Pony series.

History

The Moondreamers are a group of celestial characters who create and deliver pleasant dreams to the children of the Earth. Their main enemy is the evil Queen Scowlene who tries to keep all children awake at night with her nightmare crystals.

Characters

Crystal Starr - The main protagonist of the series, who leads the Moondreamers and draws the stars.

Whimzee - - A Moondreamer who uses his imagination to create dreams for Dreamcasting.

Celeste's - His job is to ride Galaxia and bring the night to earth so that dreams can begin to be sent.

Galaxia - Celeste's magical space dragon with feather-like wings.
Sparky Dreamer - A clever MoonDreamer who is often stuck correcting the mistakes of other Moondreamers.

Dream Gazer - The eldest MoonDreamer, is considerably older than the other members and is the wisest. He has a star tattooed on his left eye and has a very melancholy voice. Mix all the different ingredients that transform dreams into a secret recipe called the combination of the imagination.

Bucky Buckaroo - A moon dreamer who takes dream crystals to the stars on his favorite comet, Halley.

Blinky and Bitsy - Two little moon dreamers in training, they are young girls who want to help the moon dreamers, but often get in the way.

Ursa Major - A flying polar bear who is Blinky's companion.

roary - A flying lion who is Bitsy's companion.

Frolic - A Starfinder that explores the uncharted universe. He is accompanied by a peacock named Fluffin.

Stardust - A Starfinder looking for lonely planets that need stars. He is accompanied by a ram named Hornsby.

Dawn - A Cercasole looking for the sun to start the morning. He is accompanied by a rabbit named Bunnyhop.

Dusky - A Seeker that places the sun where it should set. He is accompanied by a dog named Sunscout.

Sundazzles - A Sunsparkler that shines the sun.

Fundamer - A Sunsparkler that creates happy dreams for children.

Daystar - A Sunsparkler who supervises every sunny day.

Cloudpuff - A Sunsparkler who draws the clouds.

Ursa Minor - The spiteful niece of the Ursa Major.
Bad

Queen Scowlene - The main antagonist of the series who lives in Monstrous Middle. She is Scowlette's mother. Scowlene hasn't slept a wink and plans to take over Starry Up so he can keep everyone up at night. In "The Poobah of Pontoon", it is revealed that Scowlene's older brother is the Poobah of Pontoon which makes him Scowlette's uncle.

Princess Scowlette - Queen Scowlene's daughter, who appears to be the same age as Whimzee and lives with her mother. There Princess Scowlette he often tries to destroy the Moondreamers to impress his mother, but that never works.
Professor Grimace (voiced by Clive Revill) - A mad scientist who helps Queen Scowlene with her plans by inventing machines that would go terribly wrong.

go up - A three-legged troll-like creature that serves as Professor Grimace's laboratory assistant.

Sleep Creeps - The servants of Queen Scowlene.

shiner - A Sleep Creep that wakes children up with its flashlight.

Creaky - A Sleep Creep that fills the night with creaks and groans.

squawkers - A Sleep Creep that emits loud noises that keep people awake.
