Netflix Slates 'Transformers: BotBots' and 'My Little Pony' G5 series

Netflix and Entertainment One (eOne), Hasbro's entertainment studio, announce a new animated series Transformers: BotBots, inspired by the small toy line, and a fifth generation My Little Pony series that will reimagine the characters, along with the brand new CGI My Little Pony feature film recently announced for Netflix and slated for the first time in the fall.

Transformers: BotBots - A 20-episode animated comedy following the mischievous little Transformers robots, based on the popular Hasbro toy line of the same name. The BotBots, released in late 2018, are one-inch collectible characters that can change from an ordinary item to a small robot in just three or five simple steps. Kevin Burke and Chris "Doc" Wyatt (Spider-Man, Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy, Stretch Armstrong and Flex Fighters) will serve as executive producers and showrunners.

Synopsis: BotBots are Transformers robots that disguise themselves as everyday items in shopping malls. During the day, these BotBots silently hide on store shelves, but at night they embark on the adventure until a group of BotBots called "The Lost Bots" runs into the mall security guard and puts all bots in danger. . Will these misfits be able to overcome their differences, defeat the security guard, and gain acceptance in the eyes of other robots?

My Little Pony G5 series and movies - After a decade of touching friendships, daring adventures and endless laughter, Equestria's beloved pony world is expanding to introduce a new generation of ponies to a new generation of fans. With even more humor, heart and adventure, the My Little Pony The franchise will be reinvented for the first time in CGI with an all-new, cinema-quality feature film premiering on Netflix later this fall. Audiences will be drawn into a contemporary and engaging pony universe that comes to life like we've never seen it before. The film will be followed by a brand new one My Little Pony G5 CGI Series.

Synopsis of the film: Equestria's pony world has lost its magic. (GASP!) Friendship and harmony have been replaced by paranoia and distrust, and ponies now live apart from the species. Sunny, an exuberant and idealistic young Earth Pony, is convinced that there is still hope for this divided world ... but her slightly misleading and often hilarious efforts to change hearts and minds have led to her being labeled a misfit. When Sunny befriends a lost unicorn named Izzy, who innocently wanders the land pony town of Maretime Bay, the town has had enough. Izzy and Sunny must embark on an epic adventure that will include a daring jewel heist, outrageous conspiracy theories, elaborate musical numbers and the cutest flying Pomeranian in the world. Their adventures will take them to distant lands and force them to challenge the status quo by facing their fears and making new friends with old enemies. The world Sunny has dreamed of all her life may finally become a reality as Sunny and her new friends battle to prove that even little ponies can make a big difference. In the computer animated series, the adventures of Sunny Starscout and his friends will continue.

Both series join Netflix's growing list of original animated shows featuring characters kids know and love The Cuphead Show!, Sonic the Hedgehog, Angry Birds and characters from Roald Dahl's library of titles. They complete the brand new cast of Netflix characters from upcoming preschool series Ridley Jones; Ada Twist, scientist; Karma's World, children's series kid cosmic, Arlo the Alligator Boy, Centaurworld and series of events Maya and the Three.
