Netflix Slates 'Transformers: BotBots' and 'My Little Pony' G5 series

Netflix and Entertainment One (eOne), Hasbro's entertainment studio, announce a new animated series Transformers: BotBots, inspired by the small toy line, and a fifth generation My Little Pony series that will reimagine the characters, along with the brand new CGI My Little Pony feature film recently announced for Netflix and slated for the first time in the fall.

Transformers: BotBots - A 20-episode animated comedy following the mischievous little Transformers robots, based on the popular Hasbro toy line of the same name. The BotBots, released in late 2018, are one-inch collectible characters that can change from an ordinary item to a small robot in just three or five simple steps. Kevin Burke and Chris "Doc" Wyatt (Spider-Man, Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy, Stretch Armstrong and Flex Fighters) will serve as executive producers and showrunners.

Synopsis: BotBots are Transformers robots that disguise themselves as everyday items in shopping malls. During the day, these BotBots silently hide on store shelves, but at night they embark on the adventure until a group of BotBots called "The Lost Bots" runs into the mall security guard and puts all bots in danger. . Will these misfits be able to overcome their differences, defeat the security guard, and gain acceptance in the eyes of other robots?
