Walt Disney Animation Studios has shared a new trailer and poster for its latest enchanted adventure: Encanto which tells the story of the Madrigals, an extraordinary family that lives in a wonderful and enchanted place called Encanto. The actor John Leguizamo (Ice Age) joins the cast of the original voice actors. Leguizamo lends his voice to Bruno, Mirabel's uncle gifted with the ability to see the future. Bruno's honest and often disastrous predictions aren't always well received by the rest of the family, so he disappeared a long time ago, becoming the uncle no one talks about.

“I was so excited to be invited to the party,” Leguizamo said. “Lin-Manuel [Miranda] wrote me a rap and I lost my mind! Also, this is a beautiful story set in Colombia. It is the first in so many ways. The magic is enchanting, the comedy is so edgy and the created world is irresistible… Bruno is so compelling because he is that guy who never quite fits. He is a stranger, but he understands the world even better because he always wanted to belong to it. "

The film features completely new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Moana) and is directed by Byron Howard (Zootopia, Rapunzel) and Jared Bush (co-director, Zootopia), co-directed by Charise Castro Smith (writer, The death of Eva Sofia Valdez) and produced by Clark Spencer and Yvett Merino. Bush and Castro Smith are the screenwriters of the film. The filmmakers were deeply inspired by their research trip to Colombia during the initial development of Encanto, as well as their ongoing work with a group of expert consultants gathered over the course of the film's production.

Encanto will be released in theaters on November 24th.
