Nexus Studios announces rising star of director Neeraja Raj.
Raj's short film NFTS Meow or never, is a well-crafted insane stop-motion musical that has quickly caught the attention of the animation industry. The piece was selected for the BAFTA student and won Best Film at the Women in Animation 2020 Showcase. The short film Meow or never has been featured in a number of international animation publications and festivals. Likewise, his fascinating 2D animated short, Stars, which features a coming-of-age story of a little boy and his dog and their attempts to spread joy among unassuming passersby, has been shown at various festivals around the world.
Raj is a very imaginative and talented director, writer, animator and storyteller. His portfolio of very diverse works showcases a range of techniques ranging from stop-motion, puppetry, 2D and 3D animation, which means he is in a unique position to select the best medium for tell authentic and emotionally captivating stories. It is capable of creating infinitely detailed and tactile worlds and capturing heartfelt performances through carefully crafted characters.
Since joining Nexus Studios, she has already landed her first commissioned project with a high-profile charity, which will launch early next year and is currently working on an adaptation series of Meow or never with the Nexus Studios original content team.
