Nickelodeon Announces Voice Actors for "Baby Shark's Big Show!"

Nickelodeon has announced the cast of voice actors for its highly anticipated new preschool series Baby Shark Big Show (The great show of Baby Shark!), which will be premiered with an original Christmas special on Friday 11 December at 12:30 pm. (ET / PT).

Based on the world-famous pop culture phenomenon, the 2D animated series will feature a host of sensational actors: Kimiko Glenn (Orange is the new black), Luke youngblood (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone), Natasha rothwell (Insecure), Eric Edelstein (We are naked bears), Debra Wilson (MADtv) to Patrick warburton (The Griffins).

Co-produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio and SmartStudy, the global entertainment company behind beloved kids' brand Pinkfong, Baby Shark Big Show (The great show of Baby Shark!) (26 half-hour episodes), they will follow Baby Shark and his best friend William as they travel on fun comedy adventures in their Carnivore Cove community, make new friends, and sing original catchy tunes along the way.

Meet the inhabitants of Carnivore Cove:

  • Male child (Glenn) - A sweet, bubbly and absolutely fearless little shark that has a habit of biting more than it can chew.
  • William (Youngblood) - A witty pilot fish with a knack for fun, William is always up for some jaw-dropping adventures with his best friend Baby.
  • mommy (Rothwell) - Fun-loving with a fierce streak, Mommy Shark works for the mayor of Carnivore Cove.
  • Pope (Edelstein) - A worried man who can't help his noisy and silly nature, Daddy Shark is a dentist who flosses when he's nervous.
  • Nonna (Wilson) - A new-age prankster who deals with good vibes and blueberry pies.
  • Nonno (Warburton) - A charismatic shark who loves to tell stories about glory days.

In "Baby Shark's Big Fishmas Special", The hottest toy of the season - Burpin 'Bubbz - tops Baby and William's Fishmas wish lists, and when Santa Jaws goes missing, it's up to them to save the holidays. After the premiere, the special will be available on Nick Jr. On Demand and Download-To-Own services, as well as NickJr.com and Nick Jr. App, which will also include short-form content.

"Baby Shark's Big Fishmas Special" is part of Nickelodeon's "Nickmas" Christmas-themed lineup that includes joyful and special previews of the network's live-action, animated and preschool series, including the second season of the original Christmas contest series. New episodes of The great show of Baby Shark! will be released on Nickelodeon's preschool platforms in the United States starting spring 2021, followed by the international channels of Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. In addition to the partnership of Nickelodeon and SmartStudy for the production The great show of Baby Shark!, ViacomCBS Consumer Products (VCP) manages consumer product licensing worldwide, excluding China, Korea and Southeast Asia, for the Baby Shark property.

Baby Shark launched on YouTube in November 2015 and has taken the world by storm, amassing 7,1 billion views and becoming the most viewed video in the platform's history. With music, characters, story and dance combined, the song recorded a 20-week streak on the Billboard Hot 100 and spawned a viral #BabySharkChallenge phenomenon, generating over a million cover videos worldwide.

Baby Shark Big Show (The great show of Baby Shark!) is produced by Gary "Doodles" DiRaffaele (Householders) and Tommy Sica (Householders), with Whitney Ralls (My Little Pony: Equestria Girls) as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, California, with production overseen by Eryk Casemiro, Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon Preschool.
