Phineas and Ferb Returns for a New Season Starting June 5 on Disney Channel and Disney+

It looks like Phineas and Ferb are back, and this time they’re doing it in style. Disney Branded Television has announced that the new season will debut on June 5, in prime time, on Disney Channel and Disney XD with two episodes, with the first episode available the same day on Disney Channel YouTube. For binge-watchers, the first ten episodes will arrive on June 6 on Disney+ (in select territories, with additional destinations to follow later) and also on Disney Channel On Demand.
The news is exciting enough, but it doesn't end there: Disney is supporting this return with a series of initiatives on several fronts. First, fans can already take a look at a brand new trailer that promises even more fun and colorful adventures. According to the previews, the two most ingenious stepbrothers ever will face another summer full of challenges (and inventions) that will include breaking world records, Candace's big test to get her driver's license and even the legendary visit to the vet for Perry the Platypus. In short, the classic catchphrases that made the series so beloved will be more alive than ever.
But that’s not all: Disney has planned new special features, including the series of shorts “Agent P, Under C,” which sees the lovable Perry return as a secret agent to fight the sinister organization ANATHEMA, and an all-new version of “Cartoonified with Phineas and Ferb,” in which real-world celebrities are transformed into animated characters in the unmistakable style of the series. Added to these are the new episodes of “How Not to Draw” and “Theme Song Takeover,” which guarantee endless laughs and surprises.
On the merchandising front, this return is accompanied by an avalanche of products designed for collectors and enthusiasts, such as the arrival of Funko Pop! dedicated to the series and exclusive Variant Covers for Marvel comics Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men, with illustrations signed by co-creator Dan Povenmire and artist Jacob Chabot. There is also a new volume of the original comics, “Phineas and Ferb: Classic Comics Collection, Volume 3.”
The icing on the cake is the soundtrack: at the end of May, “Lofi: Phineas and Ferb” will arrive, a collection of ten songs revisited in a relaxing way, while on June 6 it will be the turn of the complete soundtrack of the new season, with thirteen songs that promise to get stuck in your head like the classics “Gitchee Gitchee Goo” or “SIMP (Squirrels In My Pants).”
In essence, this return is not only a highlight of the Disney summer, but an all-round event that will involve TV, digital platforms and collectors' shops. After all, Phineas and Ferb are no strangers to records: with five Emmys to their name and a worldwide success among children and young adults, the series has already written a piece of animation history. And judging by what awaits us, it seems like they are ready to write more.
