Phoenix King - The 1984 anime film

Phoenix king (original title: 불사조 로보트 피닉스 킹 Bulsajo roboteu Pinikseu-King) also known as Phoenix King is a South Korean animated film. It was later dubbed into English and aired in America and Europe as Defenders of Space and parts of his film were used to make Space Thunder Kids. The small image of the movie poster depicts a toy version of Phoenix King.

Phoenix King is identical to the Diaclone No. 10 Fire Engine toy, which later became Inferno of the Transformers. This is the first animated version of the toy.

The film is famous for copying the designs of numerous Super Robot series in Japan, most notably Mazinger Z, Ippatsuman, Space Cruiser Yamato, Mobile Suit Gundam and many of Leiji Matsumoto's works.
