Pocoyo, the animated series in 3d graphics (developed with Softimage software), aimed at preschool children, conceived by Spanish authors David Cantolla, Luis Gallego and Guillermo Garc a Carsi di Spagnati. The cartoons were made by Zinkia Entertainment and distributed by Granada Films, for a total of 104 episodes each lasting 7 minutes. In June 2006 Pocoyo was awarded the Cristal Award, for the best TV production at the 30th Annecy International Festival. Pocoyo was broadcast for the first time in Italy on 1st November 2006, on the RaiSat Yoyo children's channel and by September 2009 on Rai Gulp.
The absolute protagonists move on the white background: Pocoyo, a 2 year old boy dressed in blue, Pato the yellow duck, the pink elephant Elly, the dog Illa and sometimes the lazy bird Bacaroto.

Pocoyo and PatoIn the first episode "Pocoyo's Restaurant" we find the little protagonist who enjoys playing with Elly, playing the role of a restaurant waiter, while Elly pretends to be the cook. At a certain moment Pato arrives and the two experiment, how to behave when a customer arrives in a restaurant. Pocoyo acts like a perfect waiter and even the dishes on the menu seem tempting, too bad that everything that comes from the kitchen is just imagination. This creates frustration in the unfortunate Pato, who decides to leave, so when Pocoyo and Elly offer him a real and tasty cream pastry, he plays with it thinking it's fake.
In the second episode "Pocoyo's Dance", Pocoyo and Pato find a radio, but can't figure out what it is for, so they seem almost afraid of that strange object. Pocoyo's curiosity is stronger than fear, so pressing a colored button turns it on. To their amazement, they enjoy changing stations, listening to music and improvising a delicious dance. With the arrival of Elly they also try their hand at classical dance. Pocoyo can't keep up with his friends, so he's sad because he thinks he can't dance. Eventually he realizes that he must not imitate Pato and Elly's dance steps, but move as he pleases to the rhythm of the music. So Pocoyo invents a dance of his own called "The Pocoyo Dance".
In the third episode the colored balls enjoy playing like a marching band, so Pocoyo and his friends start dancing with them. After a while the band leaves, but Pocoyo and his friends want to keep dancing. Pocoyo finds musical instruments, so Elly plays the cymbals, Pato the drum and Pocoyo the trumpet. Unfortunately they only make a great noise to the point of waking the Bacaroto bird. Pocoyo and his friends will come to understand that music is not only found in musical instruments, but in all things and sounds that produce harmony.
