Produced by Rainbow in collaboration with Rai Fiction, "Regal Academy" is a cartoon that airs on Rai Yoyo that is conquering a large number of children for its magical plot and cute characters. Iginio Staffi is the creator of the subject and Simone Borselli is in charge of the artistic direction, while the executive production is by Studio Rainbow, the same of the Winx, Mia and Me e Huntik - Secrets & Seekers. An all-Italian product belonging to the fantasy genre that re-proposes the school of magic as a place of adventure for a group of young wizards who live in a wonderful fairy-tale kingdom.

Rose and Cinderella - Regal Academy

The story begins when Rose, a girl from the non-magical world, a character voiced by Chiara Francese, discovers she is special: her grandmother, in fact, is Cinderella, voiced by Aurora Cancian. Suddenly the young woman becomes aware of the existence of the world of fairy tales that contains within itself a great magic and, at the same time, she discovers that her grandmother is the director of the most famous school academy in the kingdom, the Regal Academy. As if that were not enough, Rose discovers that she herself is gifted with magical powers: she has the magic of the pumpkin and with a wand she can choose to transform the pumpkins into beautiful and useful means of transport. Before being thrown into this new world, Rose was a normal girl with a particular predisposition for fairy tales and dreams of love. Rose's mother, Clara, had kept her daughter's relationship with Cinderella and the land of fairy tales hidden from her daughter and when the young woman discovers the magical world she tries in every way to prevent her from attending the Regal Academy and to bond emotionally to the inhabitants of the place. Mom fears that attending the magical kingdom could create problems for Rose, change her and turn off her cheerfulness and lightheartedness. Finding herself in the new world, however, Rose begins to discover that all the characters from the fairy tales she has read so many stories about really exist and finds them, aged, in the Land of Fairytales. Many of them will be her teachers at school and, despite her mother's attempts to hinder her, Rose decides to continue attending the Regal Academy, eventually convincing her mother as well.

Besides the grandmother and director Cinderella, an affectionate woman with an immense love for shoes, among the teachers the young woman meets and from whom she will learn a lot about dreams and magic is Snow White, a teacher of etiquette who often scolds Rose and her friends , who often get into trouble, and who always has a tasty apple dessert ready to offer to those who visit her. The character of Snow White is voiced by Emanuela Baroni. Then there is the literature teacher, Rapunzel (Alessandra Cassioli), who is a great talker and loves company because as a young man, as the fairy tales tell, she lived for a long time in solutidne locked up in a tower. There is no shortage of Beauty and the Beast: she, an art teacher with great optimism; he, a sports coach and an impetuous dragology teacher who hides a tender heart and a very secret love for roses. Pierluigi Astore is the dubber of the Beast. Could not miss the teacher of potions, grandfather Ranocchio, voiced by Gianni Giuliano; it is a character at the same time serious and super rigid as a teacher but with a funny and nice aspect. Next to the wonderful group of teachers, whom Rose looks at with great charm, the young woman meets exceptional friends with whom she will make a lot of troubles and will live many adventures to defend the school and the magic from the villains of the fairy tales. Among all, Rose meets the grandchildren of her teachers. Particular attention will be given to Hawk Snow White, a boy who has the magic of snow and does everything to always be the hero but very often creates more confusion and danger than others. A particular sympathy will arise between him and Rose, so much so that Rose dreams that he is her prince charming. The character is voiced by Alex Polidori.

Instead, it is Giulia Tarquini who voices Rapunzel's niece, Astoria, the most studious girl in the school who, with her knowledge, always manages to contribute to the best in solving problems; she spends countless hours in the library studying but she too possesses magic and can bring up very long and climbing flowering ivy.

Travis the Beast - Regal Academy

The grandson of the Beast is Travis, a boy with a strong artistic streak but the character inherited from his grandfather: if someone makes him angry he doesn't answer for himself, he becomes uncontrollable. Not surprisingly, his is the magic of fury. The angry young man is in love with LingLing, best friend of the protagonist, who is very dedicated to studying and not much to goliardic situations, unlike her friend Rose who loves dancing, fashion and fun. Very nice and a little out of the ordinary is Joy, Frog's nephew. Almost as if it were a family vice, the girl loves all kinds of insects and has the magic of the frog. His constant tendency to take insects and animals of various kinds with him creates many problems for others but his ability to support friends is so strong that this small defect takes a back seat. The group of friends, which becomes more and more close-knit, manages to share the most varied moments while remaining united thanks to the magic of friendship. Together they manage to prevent the terrible Vicky from carrying out her evil plans. Several times the enemy of the Regal Academy tries to make the magic disappear from the city or to obstruct the teachers from the school in the most disparate ways but luckily Rose, Hawk and the others with their intuitive ability always manage to discover her very bad plan and to intervene in time. Together they will also be able to reveal Vicky's secret identity: she is none other than the granddaughter of the evil queen, who has always been an enemy of Snow White, who is now trying to bring back the evil exiles from the magical world and to do so she must reactivate the dragon portal.

However, there is no shortage of funnier adventures like when Rose and her friends are invited by her grandmother Cinderella to sleep together in her palace but something strange happens: the shoe elves combine some trouble and Cinderella's wonderful shoe collection is stolen. Fun but sometimes dangerous events are experienced during the lessons, between riding a dragon and risking the explosion of a potion. All this, however, makes Rose's life surprisingly sparkling and she finds herself living in a new reality what she had always daydreamed about.
