Rick and Morty reinterpreted with an anime style

Rick and Morty, lAdult Swim's fan favorite sci-fi comedy was reinterpreted with an anime style in the episode Summer Meets God, Rick Meets Evil (Summer meets God, Rick meets evil) - a new 15-minute animated short film written and directed by Takashi Sano, who previously delivered  Rick and Morty vs. The Genocider (Rick and Morty against genocide) before the show's fifth season.

Summer's new boyfriend isn't human, Jerry is in big trouble as usual, and Rick is fine… he's just Rick. It all culminates in an explosive, apocalyptic climax - and a new perspective on life.

Director Takashi Sano also created the storyboard and main animation for the short, produced by Sola Entertainment and animated by Telecom Animation Film, with additional animation from North Star Studio and Dogwood. Yoshihiro Shimizu of Studio Loft was the artistic director. Composer Tetsuya Takahashi led the music team.

The Japanese voice cast includes Yohei Tadano as Rick, Keisuke Chiba as Morty, Manabu Muraji as Jerry, Akiha Matsui as Summer and Jun Irie as Beth.
