Rooster Teeth enters the children's category with Albert Whitman Media Partnership

Rooster Teeth Productions, a unit of WarnerMedia, and Albert Whitman Media, the media affiliate of independent children's book publisher Albert Whitman & Company, have partnered to co-develop and produce original animated series for the broadcast and digital platforms around the world, based on selected literary properties from the library of Albert Whitman & Co.

The announcement was made jointly by Ryan P. Hall, head of Rooster Teeth Studios, and Attila Gazdag, president of Albert Whitman Media.

Slate's partnership begins with two highly acclaimed literary works: Zapato Power, by the author Jacqueline Jules with illustrations by Miguel Benítez, e Wish library, by author and creator Christine Evans.

Zapato Power follows the adventures of Freddie Ramos, a normal child who grew up in a multi-ethnic neighborhood of a city who has always dreamed of becoming a superhero. When a mysterious gift turns out to be super-powered purple trainers, her life changes forever and our protagonist learns to use her newfound powers for a greater good. Rooster Teeth and Albert Whitman Media will bring the new series to market in time for MIPCOM 2021.

The second property on the list, Wish library, introduces Raven, a third grade girl and her friends, as they discover the Wish Library, where the mysterious Librarian promises to help solve problems with a simple wish. Every child at some point wishes they could change something with a simple wish, and the story responds to this innate wish with lots of humor.

"Rooster Teeth achieved great success with his original shows and we were impressed with their performance and passion for the serial adaptation of Albert Whitman's book properties."
