The Chinese animated film "The Legend of Hei"

Shout! Studios secured all North American rights to the Chinese animated film at the box office The Legend of Hei (The legend of Hei), a prequel to director MTJJ's (Zhang Ping) online Flash cartoon series, and will bring fantasy adventure to US and Canadian theaters in partnership with Play Big.

The Legend of Hei (The legend of Hei) follows a small cat demon whose house in the forest has been destroyed by humans. Forced to wander, he is joined by other nice supernatural beings and even a serious human. Blending ecological themes, heartwarming moments and magical touches as well as action-packed battles, the film is produced by MTJJ Animation, Beijing Hanmu Chunhua Animation, Beijing Jiyin Yinghua, Dream Castle and Heyi Capital.

Selected for the Annecy 2020 animation festival (among others), The legend of Hei opened in China in September 2019 with a warm box office reception, opening at No. 1 above Hobbes and Shaw and animated blockbuster Do zha and accumulate $ 48 million.
