Sony Pictures TV adapts the comic 'Faust' to the series

Another intriguing adult animation project is in the works, with Sony Pictures Television announcing the acquisition of the superhero / horror comic. Faust for adaptation. Indie entertainment co. The founder of HALO-8 Matteo Pizzolo (killer of gods, The Long Knives) is writing the series based on the books by writer David Quinn and artist Tim Vigil as part of his first contract with the studio.

A deconstruction of classic superhero comics, Faust centers on the haunted vigilante John Jaspers, who sells his soul in exchange for superpowers and embarks on a hellish quest to defeat Mephistopheles to save his mistress, Dr. Jade DeCamp, and nullify his pact with the devil.

Quinn (Ghost Rider, Dr Strange) and Vigil serve as consultancy producers on the animated series. Brian Giberson of Black Mask Entertainment is the executive producer.

The first issue of Faust, released in 1987, sold over 100.000 copies, kicking off a series that had a central history and spin-off for 25 years. The comic was previously adapted as a live action movie in 2000, Faust: The love of the damned.
