Ran Kotobuki is a Japanese high school student, a true typhoon unleashed, who adopts the lifestyle of the "gals", girls whose first aim is to have fun and think about frivolities such as fashionable clothes and accessories. The gals, however, have a real philosophy and precise rules of conduct, and always try to juggle happily in the most disparate situations. Ran is the Number 1 gal in Shibuya, Tokyo's main gals district, and within her territory she lays down the law, rights wrongs and is admired by all.
