Superman: Son of Kal-El # 5 sees unprecedented orders

Following the news of the impending reveal of Jon Kent to be released as bisexual in issue 5 of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL, the enthusiasm of global fans has led to more orders for the next issue than the debut issue of the series!

For fans who may not be involved in the series, DC will be back in print for the first four issues of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL. Fans can place orders at their local comic stores for each of the reprints of the single issue, which will now feature the DC Pride logo on the covers, by October 30 for an in-store date of November 23.

From writer Tom Taylor (DARK KNIGHTS OF STEEL), artist John Timms (HARLEY QUINN), HI-FI colorist (WONDER WOMAN) and letterer Dave Sharpe (BATGIRL), the number 5 of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL will be available in comic stores and digital retailers on Tuesday, November 16. After initially making friends with reporter Jay Nakamura, he and Jon become romantically involved in the pages of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL # 5. After a scene where Superman is exhausted mentally and physically from trying to save everyone he can, Jay is there to take care of the Man of Steel.

SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL # 5 features a main cover by Timms. Two special variant covers were created by Travis Moore (NIGHTWING) & Tamra Bonvillain (WONDER WOMAN) and Inhyuk Lee (BATGIRLS).
