“The Amazing World of Gumball - The Movie” and The Series for CN, HBO Max

The comic misadventures of Gumball, Darwin and Elmore's other quirky residents will continue on HBO Max and Cartoon Network with The Amazing World of Gumball: The Movie! (provisional title) e The Amazing World of Gumball: The Series (job title). The projects mark the long-awaited return of the beloved series and are the first original productions to receive the green light from Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, WarnerMedia Kids and Family's flagship television animation studio within the EMEA region.

Staying true to his self-referential roots and comic meta that they adored The Amazing World of Gumball For fans around the world, the film begins when Gumball's biggest fan finds the show's missing episode and accidentally opens a portal that connects his world to the cartoon world of Gumball. After meeting his heroes, our super fan decides to team up with Gumball, Darwin, Anais, Richard and Nicole to save them from a nefarious force that is overwhelming Elmore, inadvertently unleashing a threat of their own. Using the latest in animation techniques and CG technology, the film promises to be a comic, emotional and epic conclusion for fans of the original series and a fresh start in establishing the world for the accompanying series.

The Amazing World of Gumball: The Movie! will be produced and directed by series creator Ben Bocquelet from a script written with Shane Mack (Coffee & Kareem). Sam Register, Vanessa Brookman and Sarah Fell are also on board as executive producers.
