I. I am Johnny Galvatron and I am a person who works from Beethoven and Dinosaur. For the past two centuries we have been working on our psychedelic rock opera, musical narrative adventure, platform game type. Is called The Artful Escape.
The development of The Artful Escape it was like a rambling Pink Floyd prog-rock jam session. It was an experience. With endless support from Annapurna Interactive, the game is finally over and is available for pre-order today. It will be out on September 9th, which is… goodness, in a week.
The play follows Francis Vendetti the day before his first performance. In an attempt to escape his uncle's musical legacy, the teenage guitar prodigy embarks on a psychedelic journey to inspire his new theatrical character. It's an adventure that traverses stolen opera houses, melodic alien landscapes and the impossible depths of Cosmic Extraordinary.
Being an adventure game, there is a lot of dialogue floating around and it would have been crazy to try and record vocal talent for All its. But we did it anyway. The play stars Michael Johnston as Francis Vendetti and Caroline Kinley as Violetta. Lena Headey plays a giant floating asymmetrical space head. Jason Schwartzman plays a brain in an aquarium atop a flotilla of goldfish fins. Mark Strong plays the greatest amusement park designer in the universe and Carl Weathers plays a blues-inspired glam artist from beyond the stars.
The Artful Escape it concerns the satellite aspects of an artist's person: image, narrative, voices, fashion, lighting. It's about being inspired. It's about not caring what is expected of you. It is about savagely destroying on alien cliffs. We've given this game everything we had and hope you find it a little bit special.
